Last Bottles Exclusive Discount

This week, we’re pouring pure intrigue—from an alpine-accented sparkling that punches way above its price, to a volcanic red from the Canary Islands, and a Portuguese stunner crafted by one of the country’s most respected winemakers. These bottles aren’t just delicious, they’re packed with personality, place, and a whole lot of wow factor.

  • Ginglinger-Fix CrĂ©mant d’Alsace 2020 – A sparkling gem from Alsace that tastes like Champagne without the price tag. Made in the traditional method with Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and a dash of Pinot Gris, it delivers crisp bubbles, creamy texture, and racy Alpine acidity. Think lemon curd meets lobster tail, or just pop it with popcorn and call it luxury on a Tuesday.

  • Luis Seabra Xisto Cru Tinto 2022 – This Portuguese red is a masterclass in elegance and terroir. Grown on ancient vineyards in the Douro by cult-favorite Luis Seabra, it’s mineral-driven, red-fruited, and precise—with a savory depth that sings alongside grilled meats, mushrooms, and anything smoked. A true expression of Portugal’s next-gen greatness.

  • ArtĂfice Tinto 2021 – From the volcanic soils of the Canary Islands comes this salty, smoky, seaside red. Light on tannins but high on personality, it’s full of cherry, pomegranate, and spice. Pair it with sardines, chorizo tacos, or anything with a little fire. It’s island wine at its finest.

Three wines, three wild terroirs—from Alpine slopes to volcanic coasts. What are you uncorking this week? đŸ·

Tasting notes:
Crisp and dry with a creamy texture and a backbone of racy Alpine acidity. Think of the interplay between lemon curd’s tangy richness or fresh lemon squeezed over buttery lobster—where vibrant acidity and richness meet in perfect harmony.

Nose:
White nectarine, Bosc pears, lemon, pomelo, alyssum, dried apples, and fresh-made pastries

Food pairing:
Tartlets with onion jam and bleu cheese crumbles or a bag of microwave popcorn if you aren't feeling chef-y.

What makes this wine special?
We have been bringing in the stupendous wines from Ginglinger-Fix for years, after a chance discovery put their tiny winery on our radar. The wine is made in the traditional method and as layered and complex as Champagnes that run 3 times the price. It is my go-to bottle when I want to add a touch of luxury to everyday life.

The nose reveals mineral-driven aromas of red berries, forest floor, green herbs, and smoke.

Grilled and roasted meats, mushrooms, smoked and cured meats.

What makes this wine special?
I chose this wine because LuĂs Seabra is a leading figure in the new wave of Portuguese winemaking, and his wines are highly sought after. Xisto Cru Tinto comes from two small, century-old vineyards on opposite sides of the Douro River, in Cima Corgo. Seabra allows the unique soil types of this parcels to truly express the terroir.

Additional Information:
LuĂs Seabra, a key figure in the Portuguese winemaking renaissance, launched his winery in 2013, focusing on fresh, terroir-driven wines from historic vineyards. Known for his minimal intervention approach, Seabra has gained international acclaim for producing wines that express their origin, with an emphasis on old vines. His work spans Douro, Vinho Verde, and DĂŁo, and his wines are celebrated for their balance, vibrancy, and age worthiness.
